We are the Bombe!

The Nightwood Society is a proud member of the #bombesquad and when Cherry Bombe – the magazine celebrating women in food – asked us to host an event at The Nightwood in June, we were sooo in.

Cherry Bombe co-founder Kerry Diamond led a panel discussion that posed the question: What is the future of food? Well, that's kind of our thing! Our own Michelle Battista was part of the discussion along with Salt & Straw's Kim Malek, Alison Wu of Wu HausNong's Khao Man Gai founder Nong Poonsukwattana, and chef/food activist Arlyn Frank of Platano Rising. Also on hand: Naomi Pomeroy of Beast, Naz Sahin Ozcan of motherland, Cameron McCosh of Blue Evolution, and Vivian Zhang of On She Goes. Our talk was recorded for a future episode of the Radio Cherry Bombe podcast. 

Kitchen queen Sarah Schneider turned out some amazing small bites and sweet treats. Our guests got to mingle and Kerry encouraged everyone to go introduce themselves to someone new. That's exactly the kind of friendly, inclusive spirit we like to foster. The NWS ladies met so many fantastic members of our community. We were truly honored to host this amazing event!
