Whew, another successful Maialata is under our belt! The 7th Annual Maialata: Festival of the Pig brought old world traditions to Montinore Estate. Legendary Italian butcher Dario Cecchini was on hand for demonstrations on whole animal butchery. We prepared a farm lunch that highlighted local food and paired perfectly with Montinore Estate wines. Maialata is produced by Nostrana and brings together chefs, butchers, and producers to celebrate and educate food and wine lovers about the practices of slow food.
