Rituals & Renewal: Kachka Seder Dinner
For the second year, The Nightwood played host to Kachka’s Passover Seder dinner.
Our friend and Kachka chef Bonnie Morales, working with our own chef Sarah Schneider, cooked up an old-world- meets-new take on the classic Seder meal. The menu included plenty of spring vegetables and traditional favorites like brisket, matzo ball soup and inventively infused vodka shots.
Hannah Treuhaft led the modern take on the traditional Seder – retelling the story of the Israelites’ exodus from slavery in Egypt, reflecting on its modern implications, and coming together to explore some of life’s larger questions. It was a beautiful night to celebrate rebirth after a long cold winter. Thanks to all who joined us! We love coming together at the table with old friends and new.
